As the usual temperature here in Boston is around13˚F to -4˚F in winter, my go-to pieces of clothing now constis of a wool hat, a pair of leather gloves, rain boots and a scarf. These pieces and layered outfits have kept me warm and dry for below freezing temperatures. When going out under the snow, I need to make my way along a snow covered street and it's not romantic at all as it seems.
Welcome to Boston, it snows 24-hour in winter this year. Almost.
之前秋天時同學們已經描述過波士頓嚴寒的冬天景象，諄諄告誡我長版羽絨外套防風防水又保暖，是過冬的必備單品；但礙於機能型的長版羽絨外套總是缺乏設計感，讓我掙扎許久，最後選擇的是內搭Uniqlo的羽絨背心，利用洋蔥式穿法層層疊上發熱衣、法蘭絨襯衫、毛衣、羽絨背心，外面套上大衣外套就可以出門了。
I have been told how cold the winter would be here in Boston by my classmates since last semester. They all said that the down coat was a must-buy since it's not only water-proof and wind-resistant, but also keeps you warm. I was struggling to purchase one because it was not aesthetically pleasing to me. After hesitating for a long time, my final decision is this Uniqlo down vest. Serving as a versatile layer, this vest certainly provides extra warmth.
