表達負面情緒

要告訴別人自己心情不好,許多人可能會直覺想到這幾個表達法:

  • I feel bad / terrible.(我感覺很糟。)
  • I feel sad / upset.(我很難過。)
  • I feel unhappy.(我很不快樂。)
  • I feel scared.(我很害怕。)
  • I feel angry.(我很生氣。)

但難過、害怕、生氣的方式有很多、程度也不太一樣。除了這些詞彙,英文還能如何表達內心的負面情緒呢?

◎ 心碎

  • I feel hurt.(我感到很受傷。)

  • I feel heartbroken.(我感到心碎。)

My boyfriend made me feel terribly hurt. He's been avoiding me for no reason lately.(我男友讓我很受傷。他最近沒來由地一直躲著我。)

◎ 心情沮喪

  • I feel depressed / frustrated / discouraged / dejected.(我感到沮喪、挫折。)
  • I feel defeated.(我感到挫敗。)
  • I feel worthless.(我感覺自己很沒用。)
  • I feel like a failure.(我感覺自己很失敗。)

A: You look down in the dumps. What happened?(你看起來心情很低落。怎麼了?)

B: I screwed up at work again, and I feel really depressed.(我工作又搞砸了,而我感到非常挫折。)

◎ 絕望無助

  • I feel helpless.(我很無助。)
  • I feel powerless.(我覺得很無力。)
  • I feel desperate.(我感到絕望。)

I felt helpless and desperate when I heard my husband was trapped in a fire.(當我得知我丈夫受困火場時,我感到既無助又絕望。)

◎ 悲痛欲絕

  • I feel miserable.(我感到非常痛苦。)
  • I'm in agony / great pain.(我痛不欲生。)

I feel miserable seeing my child suffering. I hope he will recover soon.(看到孩子受苦讓我感到非常痛苦。我希望他能趕快好起來。)

◎ 恐懼不安

  • I'm afraid / frightened.(我很害怕。)
  • I'm terrified.(我嚇壞了。)
  • I'm worried.(我很擔心。)
  • I'm anxious.(我很焦慮。)

A: He didn't respond to my message, and he didn't answer my call, either. I'm worried.(他沒回我訊息,也沒接我電話。我很擔心。)
B: Maybe he's just busy. Relax.(他可能只是在忙。放輕鬆。)

◎ 忿忿不平

  • I'm annoyed / irritated.(我很惱火。)
  • I'm furious / infuriated / outraged.(我氣炸了、我很憤慨。)
  • I'm bitter.(我感到不滿、難以釋懷。)

A: I'm still bitter at the way I was being treated earlier. How could they insult me like that?(早前被這樣對待還是讓我感到不滿。他們怎能那樣污辱人?)

B: They wanted to irritate you. Don't take it to heart.(他們想要激怒你。別太往心裡去。)
