｜關於穿搭｜橄欖綠和豹紋
Olive Green 橄欖綠。不知道為什麼，我衣櫃一直都沒有綠色的單品，每次買衣服視線總是飄向我最愛的深藍色。不管是墨綠、抹茶綠、青綠，逛街時下意識忽略綠色系成為戒不掉的習慣。買東西時總有一些色系是你不由自主排斥的，對我來說就是綠色系單品，原因不明。而這件購自 Asos 的前扣式丹寧裙是個例外，第一眼就被它醇厚的橄欖綠吸引，前排紐扣選用玫瑰金配襯這抹灰撲撲的綠色，真是再適合也不過了。
腳底的豹紋樂福鞋讓一身素色的面料多了點變化。去年在 Asos 購入後我就非常喜歡，是我衣櫃大量大地色系搭配的樂趣。今年 Asos 的版本多了細細的金屬裝飾，是專屬腳底的閃亮。外套的選擇我偏愛長版線條乾淨的長大衣。這件淺褐毛呢質料的大衣，僅俐落的窄窄小領子，和黑扣設計，就是一件簡單又耐看的長版外套。

Olive Green. For some reasons, I have never owned green items in my wardrobe. I always opt for navy blue pieces instead of green ones when shopping. Neither dark green nor emerald green has ever grabbed my attention before. Sometimes you just ignore a specific print or color unintentionally and I believe that's green for me. But this Asos olive green button front skirt broke my fashion rule. I was attracted by the beautiful olive green and the rose gold-tone buttons in the front. Olive green and rose gold-color are the best combination ever.
I completed this outfit with leopard prints. This pair of leopard loafers jazzed up my neutral outfit in a subtle way. I purchased this pair of shoes from Asos last year and it's not available anymore. But the current version looks even more stylish with the gold-tone metal trim. For the outerwear, a minimalist coat with clean lines and simple details have always been a favorite of mine. I wore a beige overcoat with notch lapel, single breasted design, black buttoned closure, and straight flap pockets details. An overcoat like this is not only warm, but also timeless and versatile.
｜羅德島，新港｜ 豪宅巡禮
羅德島位於麻州南邊，從波士頓開約一個半小時的車程就會到達羅德島的新港。這裡有許多上個世紀新建的豪宅，在19世紀後期和20世紀初期這裡是美國富豪家族的避暑勝地。後代子孫因無力負擔維護豪宅的巨額費用，大多捐給當地的文物保護協會，售票開放給大眾參觀。
我們這次參觀的是著名的 The Breakers 宅邸，主人 Vanderbilt 是美國史上第三富豪，也因此這座大宅精緻華麗，極致奢華的雕梁畫棟，富麗堂皇得像是歐式宮廷。
｜Newport, Rhode Island｜The Breakers Mansion
Rhode Island is bordered on the north by Massachusetts, and it takes about 90minutes driving from Boston to Newport, Rhode Island. In the late 1800s and early 1900s, Newport used to be a popular summer playground of America's wealthiest families. And it's how these lavish summer "cottages" came from. Later, the descendants could no longer afford the mansion tax and maintain these luxurious properties. Now as mansions are deemed National Historical Landmarks, The Preservation Society of Newport County is the owner and care-taker of these mansions.
We toured The Breakers mansion during our visit. The Breakers is the grandest property in Newport, and it's established by the notoriously opulent Vanderbilt family. It's really fun to experience the elite's ultra-rich lifestyle and explore the European-influenced architecture. The Breakers was constructed with lavish platinum walls, and decorated with master paintings and stunning artifacts.
