維基百科是一個龐大的免費知識庫，作為全球瀏覽量排名前10的網站之一[註1]，顯示公眾對知識的需求以及其在知識傳播中的重要性。然而，在維基百科上貢獻的編輯者中，長期以來存在性別落差的情況。編輯者中僅有 9% 為女性，且男性编者的平均編輯次數，是女性編者的兩倍。同時，女性傳記與女性關注的知識領域的條目薄弱且未受到同等重視。

薇姬的房間與女人迷為共同響應全球的維基百科社群串聯，將於 6 月 22 日 (六) 舉辦 2024「藝術+女性主義」編輯松，邀請各界好手一同編寫世界上有影響力的女性故事、女性主義貢獻者，讓更多元的性別故事能在維基百科平台上被看到。

Wikipedia is a free knowledge base with a vast amount of information. As one of the top 10 websites in the world, Wikipedia’s traffic reflects the public's need for knowledge and the importance of knowledge communication. However, only 9% of Wikipedia editors are female. Additionally, the average editing frequency of male editors is two times higher than that of female editors. Meanwhile, the biographies of women and the knowledge areas that women focus on are often incomplete and underappreciated.
Wikiwomen Taiwan and Womany, in response to the global Wikipedia community, will hold the “2024 Art + Feminism Edit-a-thon” on June 22nd. Through inviting talents from everywhere to co-edit influential women's stories and feminist contributors worldwide, we hope to bring more diverse gender stories to Wikipedia.

年度主題 Theme of the year

隨著AI、半導體的科技革新，相關產品及應用對社會影響逐步擴增，也受到更多關注。許多人從各種面向討論 AI應用為生活中帶來的改變，也讓我們想像未來世界。而晶片是AI 以及相關科技產業發展的關鍵技術。Trendforce 報告指出，臺灣在2023年晶圓代工產能佔全球 46% 市場份額，先進製程產能佔比68%[註2]。除了擁有關鍵技術，臺灣也有許多半導體人才，雖然科技產業中長期以來存在巨大的性別落差，但其中也有許多傑出的女性科技人、企業家，在產業發展扮演重要角色。

此外，氣候變遷也是與人類生活息息相關的重要議題。本次我們也蒐集了 BBC 2023 巾幗百名中「科學、健康與科技」及「氣候先鋒」分類名單的傑出女性，作為條目編輯的主題。

我們希望透過編輯維基百科條目，讓更多人認識這些在各行各業貢獻參與的女性，瞭解其所扮演的角色與行動，以知識促進社會整體的多元性，帶來更多的啟發與改變。

With the technological innovations in AI and semiconductors, related products and applications are gradually expanding their influence on society and attracting more attention. Many people are discussing the changes that AI applications bring to our lives from various perspectives, allowing us to envision the future. Chips are a key technology for developing AI and related industries. According to Trendforce, Taiwan accounted for 46% of the global market share in semiconductor foundry capacity and 68% of the global market share in advanced manufacturing processes for semiconductor capacity. Despite the focus on key technologies, Taiwan is home to many talented individuals. Although a significant gender gap has existed in the technology industry for a long time, numerous outstanding female technologists and entrepreneurs are playing important roles in their fields.
In addition, climate change is a crucial issue in our daily lives. We have listed outstanding female figures from the "Science, Health & Tech" and "Climate Pioneers" categories of the BBC 100 Women 2023 list as the topic and source for the event.

We aim to raise awareness about the contributions of women across various industries by editing Wikipedia articles. Through this, we seek to shed light on the roles they play and the actions they are taking. By leveraging knowledge, we strive to promote diversity in our society, fostering inspiration and driving positive change.
